About Uttranchal University
Uttranchal University was founded in 2013. It comprises Law College Dehradun (2002), University Polytechnic, School of Applied and Life Science (2016), Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (2006), and Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Science. School of Media and Communication Studies School of Hospitality Management (2018), and School of Liberal Arts (2019). Courses in the following areas are available at Uttaranchal University: law, technology, management, pharmacy, agriculture, hospitality management, media and communication, and the arts.
The UGC, as well as other statutory bodies of the State and the Country, have recognized Uttaranchal University by sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has granted the University accreditation with the esteemed “A+ Grade.” Making history, Uttaranchal University is now the first university in the state of Uttarakhand to receive an A+ grade from the NAAC during the first cycle of accreditation. Depending on the course, admissions are made based on merit, the entrance exam, and the interview.
